I thought I would show you a few new things I have made. First is a jacket I made for my Mom's Birthday. I got the pattern at Quilt Expressions which is my LQS. Karen the owner made the jacket a few months back, and it was so cute I had to get the pattern.

I have been working on learning how to solder. It has been a blast! Here are a few pendants that I have made; a piece of sea glass, turquoise, mother of pearl and a scrabble piece.

I made this piece for a very special friend.

And last but not least, I made this back in October but it was so cute I had to show you.
Work has kept me pretty busy this month but I am hoping to quilt two quilts this month, one for my niece Shhhh it is a secret and the other one is for my bedroom. I will post when I get them done

Studio View

Happy Sunday
I thought I would show you all my fabulous studio. So here we go.......

Well first are my constant companions, Miss Scarlet and Miss O'Hara.

This is my shelf with all my treasures, fabric, yarn, felted wool and lots of books and magazines

Here is my lovely sewing machine it is a Pfaff Quilt Expressions 2044. I love my machine. It sits on a beautiful table my husband built for me. The table is 84 inches long. My husband painted the legs red because it is my favorite color.

Here is my cutting table, right now there are three table runners ready to cut.

Here is my desk, Gil, my husband built this desk into the existing closet. I love that it keeps all my bookkeeping and tax work away from my fun stuff. If you look closely my shelves are full of fun stuff; art quilt books and patterns and my favorite keepsakes.

New Beginnings

Happy New Year 2010

I welcome this New Year with open arms. I know that things are going to be great. This is the year that I am going to explore my artistry in fabric. Hopefully I will be showing you new projects on a regular basis, (God willing work will not get in the way)

So if you don't know I am a texture artist (Quilts), Beader and Knitter. I also will make any kind of craft. I just love to make fun stuff and give it to my friends and family.

2010 is not only new beginning for Gil and I; 2009 had been a tough year, it is the year I turn 50. Yes I am going to be the BIG 50...... I think it is actually will be a fun journey.

So to star my New Year and my Half Century (that sounds older than 50, so we will stick with just being 50) I have created a few resolutions, or better yet decision in my life.
  1. I will see the Grand Canyon
  2. I will enter at least 1 Quilt in a Quilt Show
  3. I will Blog all my new quilting techniques.
  4. I will send cookies more often to my son

I am sure I could say I am going to lose weight, become more green, do all the dishes before I go to bed, but these are not as fun as making fun things.

Happy New Year to you all
